Digital Inclusivity

Accessibility Statement

We are committed to digital inclusion, ensuring our website meets and exceeds Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and ISO/IEC 40500:2025 standards.

Conformance Target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA | Standard: ISO/IEC 40500:2025 & EN 301 549 | Last Assessed: August 2026

1. Our Commitment to Inclusivity

At Niagara SEO, we believe the web must be universally accessible to all people, regardless of ability, neurodiversity, or assistive device. We design, develop, and audit our digital platforms to adhere strictly to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at Level AA, the European Accessibility Act (EAA / EN 301 549), and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

2. Technical Implementation Measures

We continuously apply the following engineering standards across our codebase:

  • Perceivable: High-contrast color palettes exceeding 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text/icons; descriptive alternative text (`alt`) on all content imagery; semantic typography hierarchy (`h1` through `h4`).
  • Operable: Complete 100% keyboard operability across all buttons, forms, and dialogs; visible high-contrast focus rings (`:focus-visible`); skip links to bypass header navigation directly to `#main`; target sizes designed to satisfy the WCAG 2.2 24×24px minimum touch target threshold.
  • Understandable: Clear error messaging with programmatic `aria-invalid` and `aria-describedby` associations; consistent navigation structure; predictable interactive patterns.
  • Robust: Valid HTML5 semantic structure compatible with modern screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, Apple VoiceOver, Android TalkBack) and assistive browsing extensions.
  • Sensory & Motion Adaptation: Native support for `prefers-reduced-motion` media queries, eliminating unexpected parallax movement or aggressive transitions.

3. Technologies Relied Upon

Accessibility of this website relies on the following core web standards to work effectively with assistive technologies:

  • HTML5 Semantic Landmarks (`main`, `header`, `nav`, `footer`, `aside`)
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 (Accessible Rich Internet Applications)
  • CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets) with responsive REM typography
  • ECMAScript / DOM Accessible Tree Management

4. Continuous Evaluation & Testing Methodology

Our web platform undergoes automated regression testing using axe-core and Lighthouse accessibility audits, coupled with periodic manual keyboard traversal and screen reader audits across desktop and mobile environments.
